Lee Westwood apologizes for Twitter rant

English golfer Lee Westwood took to the popular social networking site Twitter with a series of outbursts, rounding on trolls that took him on and rubbished him for his very poor performance in the final rounds of the US PGA Championship at the Oak Hill last weekend. But the Englishman has now issued an apology for his behavior.

Paul Casey says McIlroy not using inferior equipments

There has been a lot of talk about the performances of former world number one Rory McIlroy after he switched from Titleist equipments to those supplied by Nike Golf, a move that has drawn the ire of many golfers considering the multi million pound deal that the young Northern Irishman signed and now, Paul Casey has come to the aid of the world number two stating that he is not using equipments that are inferior and has backed him to get back to winning ways sooner rather than later.

Speaking on the issue, McIlroy stated that there has been a lot of talk on the issue but mentioned that it is not something that he can make any comment on.

Danish tennis sensation Caroline Wozniacki has revealed her golfer boyfriend Rory McIlroy swears by the work he puts in the gym these days.

She stated that sometimes she gets frustrated with the new all action style that the Northern Irishman has taken up and has stated that during her off season, she vehemently asked him if he could just rest for some time, adding that she had told him she doesn’t want to see the gym or hear about it, she doesn’t want to go out for a run and all she wanted was rest and relaxation.

Otaegui makes it in 2010 Boys Amateur Championship

Adrian Otaegui of Spain was the Champion Boy Golfer of the Year after he won the 2010 Boys Amateur finals. Otaegui has beaten Max Rottluff of Germany in the 36th hole during the final round at Kilmarnock. He is among the list of Spanish champions in the 1983, 1997, and 2001 events, with winners Jose Maria Olazabal, Sergio Garcia, and Pablo Martin respectively.

Dustin Johnson Finishes in Top 10 at The Open

American golfer Dustin Johnson, one of the top golfers on the PGA Tour at the moment, had one of the best British Opens, and his four days at Royal Lytham & St. Annes was extremely productive throughout the 4 day duration of the event. Mickelson drops out of Memorial
